"The mysterious life of Qajar masterpieces” - CANNES from 12/03/2013 to 05/25/2014. This winter, Persia is doubly honoured, at Musée de la Castre, through the exhibition “The mysterious life of Qajar masterpieces” and “Museums’ Fortnight.”

 

“3 centuries de tourism in the Alpes-Maritimes” - NICE from 12/05/2013 to 05/31/2014. The exhibition retraces a panorama of tourism, from the arrival of the first travellers to Italy to today’s flux of holiday makers...

“Richard Artschwager!” - MONACO from february 20 to may 11, 2014.  The exhibition gathers over 135 works by the artist over 6 decades, including sculptures, paintings, drawings, photos and posters.

 

Natacha Lesueur Exhibition - NICE from february 22 to may 19, 2014.  The exhibition of Natacha Lesueur at the Marc Chagall National Museum focuses on the artist’s recent work on Polynesia.

NICE JAZZ FESTIVAL - NICEfrom 08 to july 12, 2014.  Music festival held in Nice since 1948. This is sometimes considered as the first jazz festival to gain international importance. The greatest stars perform not only a program of jazz but also international variety.

Orange blossom Festival - LE BAR SUR LOUPapril 21 2014.  Every year, on Easter Monday, the village of Bar-sur-Loup celebrates the orange tree, or rather the Seville orange tree (bigaradier), grown for its flowers, processed by the perfumers of Grasse to make neroli essence, highly prized by the world of perfumery, and orange blossom water...

La fête des roses et des plantes - ST JEAN CAP FERRAT from 03 to may 04, 2014. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Rothschilds' Villa Ephrussi is hosting, for the 4th year in a row, "La Fête des Roses et des Plantes". Some thirty international exhibitors - rose growers, nursery growers and professionals from the gardening world are expected in the villa's gardens to share their passion with the largest number of people.

 

Rose Expo - GRASSE from 08 to may 11, 2014. International exhibition where over 50,000 roses are exhibited in bouquets of 60 to 300 flowers.

Chestnut Festival - CAGNES SUR MERnovember 15 2014. Market featuring local products including mulled wine and chestnuts, and musical entertainment.

 

Mimosa Festival - MANDELIEU LA NAPOULE february. Mandelieu celebrates its emblematic flower in a wide variety of decorative forms at fashions hows, bands and processions of floral floats at the end of the afternoon and in the evening with illuminated flower parades...

 

NAVAL FLOWER BATTLES - VILLEFRANCHE SUR MER february. Held in the Port de la Santé at Villefranche-sur-Mer featuring a parade of Mediterranean “pointus” boats decorated with arrangements in a variety of patterns made from local flowers (carnations, mimosas…).

 

THE LEMON FESTIVAL - MENTON february Lemon and orange floats in bright sunshine or at night fall: carnival parades every sunday afternoon and night carnival parades every thursday evening. Exhibitions of giant citrus fruit flower displays in the Biovès gardens, Orchid Festival, Crafts show...
